Ølhaven

In the heart of Copenhagen, right by Kongens Nytorv, you’ll find Ølhaven – a place where you can explore exciting Danish craft beer served from no fewer than 26 taps. The beer bar is tucked away in the atmospheric, historic courtyard Boltens Gård, where yellow half-timbered houses and cobblestone paths set the scene.

The interior is inspired by Japanese tea gardens, designed to prepare guests mentally and spiritually before a tea ceremony. This inspiration is evident in the calm, clean lines and the many beautiful trees and plants that adorn the outdoor seating area. The style combines Japanese minimalism with Scandinavian elements in an industrial setting. As you step inside, you’re greeted by a tall, tiled bar, a back wall filled with taps, long high tables, and intimate wooden booths.

The beer selection features a mix of the latest releases and favourites from some of Denmark’s top microbreweries, as well as collaborations between Ølhaven and the breweries themselves. You can also enjoy Japanese whisky, paying tribute to the culture that inspired the bar’s design universe.

In addition to Ølhaven’s strong focus on serving high-quality craft beer, they also make alcohol-free options a priority. They offer a solid and consistent range of alcohol-free beers from well-known Danish microbreweries such as TOØL, ALEFARM, and ÅBEN. The selection is continuously evolving with new and exciting varieties and is regularly rotated – just like their 26 taps of draft beer.
