Hornbæk Kunsthus

In Hornbæk, north of Copenhagen, you will find Hornbæk Kunsthus – a gathering place for art and community that welcomes both locals and visitors.

North of Copenhagen, close to the water, you will find Hornbæk Kunsthus – a vibrant and ambitious art community founded, owned, and run by 10 talented artists. In October 2025, they opened the doors to the new art space for the very first time, exhibiting their own works and inviting visitors into their artistic universe. The house provides a setting for both immersion and communication, and each month a new guest artist is presented and celebrated with an opening reception, where everyone interested is welcome.

Hornbæk Kunsthus places special emphasis on the interaction between art and community, serving as a meeting place for established local artists as well as curious visitors. Its ambition is to make art visible and present as an active part of everyday life and to break down barriers between artist and audience. That is why there is always room for a conversation about art over a warm cup of coffee.

The art space also works purposefully to make art accessible through activities, events, workshops, and educational programs for both locals and visitors in Hornbæk. Throughout the year, it hosts art workshops where you can, for example, try your hand at working with clay, as well as atmospheric spring markets, Christmas markets, and other engaging and cozy events. In this way, Hornbæk Kunsthus is not just an exhibition space, but a dynamic gathering place where creativity, commitment, and community go hand in hand.
